Bigger Than Life, Art of the State Museum Delivery
Delivering my painting to The State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg for their annual Art of the State exhibition was a day like no other. I felt like a little kid on her first day of school! So exciting!

So, that's what I did. My fabulously supportive tall husband helped to deliver my painting to our state museum.
Here he is maneuvering the painting into the museum's enormous
freight elevator. I was a tad cautious after being stuck in my studio building's freight elevator last week, but am happy to report that all went well.
We followed the path well-marked with Art of the State signs to the gallery (to see the man behind the curtain. Just kidding, but it did feel splendidly yellow brick road-like).
A curator took delivery while wearing white gloves. This may have excited me more than anything! The white glove treatment!
Our picture was taken with my painting. I'm so glad the fabulous curator included my wonderful husband in the photo. Do I look over-the-moon thrilled? Pinch me!
It was a pleasant surprise to be able to preview the sculpture of my artist friend, Rob Sigafoos (pic posted with his permission). You can learn more about Rob and see his metalwork at his Vinewoods Forge website.
It was fun talking with the people who make the magic happen! Here's my beloved and the fabulous Exhibits Chief, Michele Ensminger. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.
Even seeing the marked elevator button on our way down made my heart sing!
I will keep you updated as My Art of the State fairy tale continues.
