After a recent trip to Mexico, where gorgeous male peacocks turned in circles fanning their feathers, I knew that my entry would be a male peacock dress.

I am thrilled to be painting a series of Inspirational Women --- these are incredible women who overcame hardships, broke records and blazed trails, shattering glass ceilings along the way.

Happy 22nd Birthday to the fearless change maker, Malala Yousafzai! Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate.

Polypharmacized received the Award of Excellence (highest honor) during Chester County Art Association's Fine Art exhibition.  In creating “Polypharmacized: The Face of Autism,” a 48x60-inch painted sculpture made from over 1,200 prescription pill bottles, I show my concern for my adult son Justin and those with autism, vulnerable people.

I am happy to share that "A Cut Above" was awarded the 3rd place honor during the 3rd Annual Juried Show: Mixed Media at the Bethlehem House Contemporary Art Gallery in historic downtown Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The votes are in! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for voting me your favorite Chester County Studio Tour artist for the second year in a row! The competition was steep, with 143 talented, professional artists.

The art highlight of May will be the Chester County Studio Tour, kicking off on Saturday, May 18 from 10 am to 6 pm, with the second and last day being Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 11 am to 5 pm

The Chester County Studio Tour wants to make art affordable for everyone!  As a participating artist in the Chester County Studio Tour, I was given the opportunity to create one unique 6x6-inch framed piece of original art that I will sell for $75 in order to show that art can be everywhere!

The energy of the crowd was electric at this year's preview party for the 46th Annual Academy of Notre Dame de Namur Invitational Fine Art Show and Sale in Villanova, PA. Hundreds of art enthusiasts graced the Tudor Revival-style mansion built in 1893.

So happy to share that my mixed media painting, "Color Me Gorgeous," has a new home! This wonderful family started their collection with one of my floral minis, and now owns a yummy 24" x 30" mixed media floral bursting with color and feelings of happiness!

What a treat it was to take a day trip to the town of New Hope, PA, with its tree-lined streets, eclectic shopping and riverside dining.   The icing on the cake was to be in New Hope during the Outside the White Cube exhibit, a two-town display of art along the Delaware River.

I am happy as a clam to share with you that I will be participating in the Paoli Hospital Auxiliary's Annual Fine Art Show. This show will feature the work of 50 local and regional fine artists.

I'm pleased as punch to share with you that two of my mixed media floral paintings have been juried into the 2018 Berks Art Alliance 39th Open Juried Exhibition at GoggleWorks in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania.

UPDATE: Sold and now living in Australia. I love snail mail, patterned socks, crunchy Cheetos and polka dots! I mean, who doesn't like 'dots? I have been working on a series of small floral mini oil paintings, all with polka dotted backgrounds.  They are the most fun to paint! 

Recently I asked my Facebook and Instagram followers to vote for their favorite sunflower painting tote bag design.  You see, I'm thrilled to have my huge 4' x 5' sunflower painting, "Showstopper," included in the Art of the State exhibition

Spring City Mill Studios in Spring City, PA is now open to visitors every third Saturday from noon until 5 pm.  The very first Third Saturday Open Studios took place in July and was a huge success!
