Last month, I showed with painters Maryanne Buschini and Sue Biebuyck plus ceramicist Judy DeSimone and jeweler Hattie Weselyk as we celebrated First Friday by hosting a Pop-Up Art Show at the beautiful Galer Winery in Kennett Square, PA.

On a hot summer day in late June, 103 artists and their guests gathered at The State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg to celebrate the opening of the 2018 Art of the State exhibition.

One of the biggest challenges Instagram users face is that they can't link to anything in your Instagram captions.  For those who don't yet have 10,000 followers and, with it, the ability to 'swipe up' to included links, the struggle is real.

Art of the State is recognized as the official, statewide juried competition for Pennsylvania artists. This year jurors selected artwork from five categories: craft, painting, photography, sculpture and work on paper.

Exciting news! On May 1, 2018, I signed a lease on what I lovingly refer to as my Big Girl Studio.

Delivering my painting to The State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg for their annual Art of the State exhibition was a day like no other. 

Happy to have my floral oil painting "Two's Company" included in the VIEW at the Art Trust, an art exhibition that includes 90 artists participating the Chester County Studio Tour. 

I'm pleased to share that one of my mixed media paintings "Luncheon with Billie Swofford" is included in the 2018 GoggleWorks Center for the Arts 12th Annual Juried Exhibition, located at 201 Washington Street, Reading, PA 19601.

The Chester County Studio Tour wants to make art affordable for everyone!  As a participating artist in the tour, I was given the opportunity to create one unique 6x6-inch framed piece of original art that I will sell for $75 (see "One Love" above) in order to show that art can be everywhere!

On Mondays, I paint with Georganna Lenssen at the Wayne Art Center.  I've been painting flowers for so long that I thought it would be fun to try my hand at cows. 

A great time was had by all at the 69th Annual Chadds Ford Art Sale and Show. Founded in 1949 by Betsy Wyeth, the popular show drew quite a crowd.

Canva is the computer app that I use every day!  A super easy design tool, Canva makes it possible for pretty much anyone to create eye-catching images without graphic design experience.

New gallery, new art opening!  Hundreds of local art enthusiasts turned out on March 3, 2018 for the grand opening, when Paragon Framing and Art opened their doors for business for the first time.
